The Crèche is owned by the Devonport Community Crèche Incorporated. The Devonport Community Crèche Incorporated is an incorporated society and a registered charity meaning that we are not-for-profit.  

As a non-profit childcare centre, we reinvest all the funding we receive back into the Crèche. This allows us to employ registered teachers and have lower staff/child ratios than other for-profit childcare centres. 

We are governed by the Devonport Community Creche Inc Board. Members are nominated to the Board in accordance with the Rules of the Devonport Community Crèche Incorporated.

The current Devonport Community Creche Inc Board Members are Catherine Moody (Chairperson), Stephanie Wright (Deputy Chairperson), Jason Weir (Treasurer), Arien Hielkema (Secretary),Clare Nikkel, Nikki McCarthy, Mark Handyside, Jane Allison and Skye Ross.

The Devonport Community Creche Inc Board meets every month to discuss and make decisions regarding how the Crèche is run. Given that the Crèche relies on both parent donations and fundraising, the Board is also responsible for organising fundraising events. You can support the Crèche by helping us with fundraising events.    

The Crèche is managed by Tessa Dunleavy, our Crèche Manager. Tessa attends all the DCC Inc Board meetings and reports on the running of the Crèche.
